2009

COLIN KIRTON
Artistic director, actor, director, writer (2001-2009)
Colin studied theatre arts and worked in theatre in Canada before returning to Malaysia in 1998. He is now a freelance performing artist and creative arts trainer. Colin's favourite things include chocolate, backpacking off the beaten track, chocolate, hiking mountain trails, chocolate, playing the piano, and chocolate. His Standard Four teacher, Mr Lim Poon Eng, prophetically declared that he should be an actor. Despite various other ambitional diversions along the way (astronaut, entomologist, journalist, interior decorator, computer scientist, etc), Mr Lim's prophecy has come true! :) Colin's home church is Subang Jaya Gospel Centre, Subang Jaya.

JONATHAN TAN
Director (2004-2009), actor (2001-2004, 2006-2008)
Jon graduated in management and marketing from Metropolitan College, Subang Jaya, and now works in a leading global communications consultancy. His passion for the arts goes beyond theatre to include music; he plays guitar and bass in his church's worship band. Jon is also crazy about sports - football and badminton in particular - though nagging knee injuries have taken a toll on him. A self-confessed food lover, he claims to eat "anything". His dark skin is attributed to Thai blood some generations back, which reputedly includes one particularly scary gun-totin' female ancestor! :) Jon's home church is Subang Jaya Gospel Centre, Subang Jaya.

SEAN LOW
Actor (2001-2004, 2008-2009), director (2002-2004, 2008-2009)
Sean is one of Footstool Players' pioneering members. Having taken a break for the past few years to focus on his marriage and career, he is back in the fray, bringing his innate sense of comedy to the Footstool Players repertoire. Sean is every mother's dream child in that he eats everything. :) He currently works in the IT division of an international relief, development and advocacy organisation. Sean's home church is Subang Jaya Gospel Centre.

ADRENE WONG
Actor (2005-2009)
Adrene studied music at UCSI Cheras and is currently not doing anything related to music! Formerly a piano teacher, she now works for a non-profit Christian organisation helping tertiary level students. Having been married recently, she is learning how to divide her time between work and "wifely duties". She enjoys cooking, but is still getting the hang of the ironing bit - all for the love of her hubby. She's waiting for some philanthropic soul to give her (and hubby of course!) an all-expenses-paid trip to London for a West End theatre binge. :) Adrene's home church is Christian Life Gospel Centre, Petaling Jaya.

EE SOON WEI
Actor (2005-2009)
Soon Wei studied management and marketing at the University of Melbourne in Australia. He is currently between jobs, after a stint in the marketing division of a multinational corporation, and also moonlights as a media talent. He blogs at www.soonwei.com or you can follow him at www.twitter.com/soonwei (yes, he believes in social media!). He enjoys food very much and has made numerous food road-trips but is slowing down on that now - not because of age but due to the pinch on his waistline! (Well, same thing! ;p) His appreciation and love for the performing arts continues to grow and he still enjoys all the opportunities he's given. Soon Wei's home church is Bangsar Lutheran Church, Kuala Lumpur.

ANN CHOO
Actor (2006-2009)
Ann is a law graduate from the University of Tasmania, Australia and now works as a conveyancing lawyer. She enjoys movies (except horror!), theatre, reading, travelling and "bush-bashing" (Aussie "jungle"-trekking). Hailing originally from the fresh air of Fraser's Hill, she loves nature and welcomes a hearty good ol' English breakfast anytime (especially if it's cooked by Grandma)! For Ann, theatre is a language to communicate and connect with people, and to inspire and encourage them on many different levels. Ann's home church is Setapak Gospel Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

LINORA LOW
Actor (2008-2009)
Linora's love for performing began in kindergarten. Having grown up watching way too much television, she still thinks everything in life has to be a drama! :) She is a proud Monashian with a degree in Communications, and a recent graduate from Joe Hasham's Acting For Beginners class at KLPac. She is an adamant blogger and prides herself in being a geek who occasionally designs a website or two, whilst trying to make ends meet as a freelance performer. She also enjoys "gyming" and playing with her beloved dogs. Her home church is Damansara Utama Methodist Church (DUMC), Petaling Jaya.

ELENA LEE
Stage manager, sound manager (2008-2009)
Elena is a pre-university student at SEGi College Subang Jaya. She loves the performing arts – singing, acting, dancing – and occasionally strumming a few chords on the guitar and pressing a few keys on the piano. She is the youngest member of the team and her petite frame has earned her the nickname "Fun-sized". :) Elena has 4 dogs and 3 cats, is an avid blogger, enjoys drawing and learning new languages and has a sweet tooth for gummy bears and marshmallows. Her home church is Shah Alam Gospel Centre.

BENJAMIN WONG
Lighting manager (2001-2004, 2008-2009), multimedia manager (2006)
Ben graduated in software engineering from MMU Cyberjaya. He's currently a software developer working for an Australian-based software firm - even though he doesn't look old enough to be doing such. :) He comes from a family of car fanatics. If it's an internal combustion engine, and it has at least three wheels attached, he'll know. Possibly the biggest geek in the team, he has an uncanny interest in all things technical - including nuclear reactors! Thus he tends to make everything - even conversations - overly complicated! :) Naturally reclusive, he prefers working behind the scenes: holding up the spotlight rather than being under it. Ben's home church is Subang Jaya Gospel Centre.

STEPHEN LEW
Stage assistant (2009)
Stephen graduated from Multimedia University Melaka with a Degree in Electronics, majoring in Telecommunications, and now works for a multinational telecommunications firm. He claims to be extremely lazy and very fond of his food, but his fondness for JDM performance cars is inspiring him to work hard so that he can be the proud owner of one... someday! :) His home church is Subang Jaya Gospel Centre.

COLIN GAN
Stage assistant (2009)
Colin is currently doing a Diploma in Communication, majoring in Advertising in Taylor's College, Petaling Jaya. He loves the great outdoors, hiking, photography, playing the guitar and the bass guitar, and the performing arts. Colin also enjoys sports, particularly football – he is a loyal supporter of Liverpool FC. And like his namesake in the team, he also has a weakness for chocolates. :) Colin also serves in the children's ministry in his home church Bethany Chapel, Klang Jaya.
